Kurt has every intention of going on the run with his wife, but it's too risky for both of them to leave at the same time, and Kurt needs to be absolutely sure that Bethany is safe, that he has a plan worked out with Allie to still keep in touch. They work out a plan to keep in touch with burner phones, every few months. It's not perfect, but it's the safest for everyone right now, and Allie is so understanding which just makes Kurt incredibly grateful.

He has to say goodbye to Jane for now, though, and they can't belabor it, she has to leave fast. He kisses her deeply, over and over again, clinging to her for just a moment.
